Business Aviation Gathers

Oct. 6, 2011

Next week the business aviation community will gather in Las Vegas, Nevada, for the NBAA2011 64th Annual Meeting & Convention. The Las Vegas Convention Center will be bustling with aviation people and products, along with business, educational and aircraft operational sessions. Henderson Executive Airport located on the south side of Las Vegas will be home for numerous aircraft on static display throughout the event.

Anyone with an interest in aviation is welcome; you don’t need to be part of a large corporate flight department, or operate turbo-props and jets. Visiting with an old friend recently I was reminded of a small rural manufacturing firm that purchased a new Cessna 172 in the mid-1970s. This airplane enabled the business owner to make good use of his time and provided the ability to better conduct business at upper Midwest rural communities. I learned this company eventually became two larger companies with two larger airplanes; another example of a small town business aviation success story.

AMT along with our other Cygnus Aviation organizations, Airport Business, Ground Support Worldwide, AMTSociety, and the Cygnus Aviation Expo will be at booth number C7132. Stop by and visit with the staff and enter for a chance to go home with an iPad.

I’ll see you there, Ron.
