A New Beginning

Aircraft Maintenance Technology  has added Ronald Donner as Editor.  Ron comes to the magazine after a 27-year career with Northwest Airlines. Ron’s aviation career began at general aviation FBOs where for eight years he worked as a technician, inspector, director of maintenance, and charter pilot.  He joined Northwest Airlines as a technician, and became a senior foreman and maintenance manger before moving into the airline’s Quality Assurance department where he held positions as a QA auditor, manager, QA representative, and FAA liaison.  He brings an in-depth knowledge of FAA regulatory issues, quality and safety programs, and maintenance providers worldwide.  Throughout his airline career Ron remained involved in general aviation.  He is a part of Stanton Sport Aviation Inc. located in Minnesota, assisting in the shop and holding volunteer leadership roles on the board of directors as the Operations Committee chairman, president, and is currently vice president.     “I’m thrilled to be part of Aircraft Maintenance Technology,” says Ron. “It’s my sincere hope that my aviation experience and background will benefit the magazine and its dedicated readers."
