As a relative new comer to the airport retail and concessions industry, Silvia Peralta is already considered an emerging industry expert among peers and business leaders. Known for her “no non-sense” approach to business, Peralta has gained a strong foothold on the growing airport retail and concessions industry.

Peralta, a graduate of the University of Florida’s Warrington School of Business’ Masters of Business Administration program, entered the closely-knit airport retail business in 2006 as director of food and beverage business development with Areas USA. With Areas, Peralta worked to secure key contracts in major airports throughout the United States in both airport and non-airport environments.

In 2008, Peralta joined Westfield Concession Management as director of business development and strategic development where she was responsible for cultivating relationships that positioned the global developer and manager of premier retail properties around the world.

In February 2010, Peralta joined The Paradies Shops as director of business development responsible for building relationships with ACDBE and Joint Venture candidates and partners, local operators, and key leaders within the airport retail community.

In 2011, Peralta was appointed to the Board of Directors for the Airport Minority Advisory Council (AMAC) and serves to advance the position of minority-owned, women-owned, and disadvantaged business enterprises (M/W/DBEs) available in the airport industry. She currently serves as the Education and Scholarship Co-Chair, and the Chair for the AMAC Nominations and Elections Committee.
