Traci Cooper is the manager of the design division for the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority, and has been with the Authority since October 2003. Prior to her promotion, Ms. Cooper served as project manager on various projects, including several airfield pavement reconstruction projects, runway safety area extensions for Runway 20L and 20R, an expansion to the airport’s rescue and fire fighting building, and Terminal Access Roadway Improvements (TARI) project.
In November of last year, the airport completed construction of a $68 million consolidated rental car facility project which Cooper managed from conceptual design through construction. The consolidated rental car facility project was the second largest construction project in the airport’s history.
Before joining the airport staff, Cooper worked as a project manager for a local engineering consulting firm where she designed and managed roadway projects throughout the state of Tennessee. She also has experience in bridge design, environmental permitting, and site development.
Cooper is a licensed Professional Engineer inTennessee; her education includes a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from Tennessee Technological University.
