We have wrapped up our 40 under 40 nominations and the winners have been chosen — we will be announcing all forty of the award recipients in the cover story of the August/September issue of airport business.

The amount of nominations that we received for this program was unbelievable; it was truly great to read about all the nominees. The primary mission of our 40 under 40 awards initiative was to acknowledge the up-and-comers in aviation. Developing future leaders is key for the growth and improvement of the aviation industry. Many years ago airport business magazine had a show called the AOA Expo & Conference held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I am pleased to announce that as part of the AviationPros LIVE expo for 2013, we will be adding an airfield operations area (AOA) to the event. This will be a great addition.

The event encompasses ground support equipment, maintenance, line operations, and now AOA. If you are interested in presenting at the event, please contact me as we are now putting together the education.

The Airfield Operations Area Conference & Expo was added to AviationPros LIVE to meet the needs of airport officials who are charged with making their airport operations area safe and efficient.
