FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (November 8, 2011) – Customers of Sheltair’s Pompano Beach Airpark (PMP) FBO location will soon benefit from the convenience of an extended runway. The Airpark’s main runway, 15-33, is currently being extended by an additional 500 feet. Upon completion in early 2012, the runway will be 4,918 feet long, allowing for easier take off and landings and affording an increased level of safety.

Sheltair CEO Jerry Holland stated, “The runway extension will allow more customers to experience and enjoy the updated conveniences of our Pompano Beach location. This high quality and efficient airport facility, located just North of our FBO at Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport, is situated between Dade and Palm Beach counties and is five minutes from the beach.”

Sheltair Pompano offers customers reduced air traffic and no runway congestion, in addition to a more exclusive experience. This location also offers the same Sheltair FBO amenities and services, as well as hangar and office space and tie-down service for both long and short term customers.
