“As an A&P, you know how important being informed on the latest tools and equipment is to a mechanic.”

Welcome to the new tool and equipment issue of Aircraft Maintenance Technology. As an A&P, you know how important it is to be informed on the latest tools and equipment. That is why each issue of AMT has a product section that highlights some of the latest products available to aircraft maintenance professionals. This past year, we realized that it was time to take this product section to the next level and create an additional issue of AMT with a specific focus on tools and equipment. The magazine you have in your hands is the result of that realization. Each issue of AMT Tool and Equipment News will provide you with the information you need to stay informed on the latest tool and equipment trends in the aircraft maintenance industry. This will be done through monthly editorial features, product focus, and products of the month.

This month’s editorial feature is on tool control. We discuss the importance of having an effective tool control program and some tool control solutions that you can use in your workplace. Our product spotlight this month is on tool storage solutions. We have assembled product releases from various manufacturers that highlight tool storage solutions that are available. And last, but definitely not least, we have our product section. This is a listing of tools and equipment that are geared toward aircraft maintenance professionals.

With each tool and equipment product listing, we have included phone numbers or web addresses so that you can contact the manufacturer directly should you require additional product information. If you do contact a product manufacturer for more information, be sure to tell them you saw their product in Aircraft Maintenance Technology magazine.

So what do you need to do to receive AMT Tool and Equipment News? Absolutely nothing. As a subscriber to AMT, you will automatically receive these additional issues. You will be receiving four additional issues each year. These issues branded as AMT Tool and Equipment News will arrive as a supplement to the magazine three times a year and as a stand alone issue each December.

As a final note, if you know of a new product that you feel should be highlighted in the pages of AMT, be sure to let us know.
