Sharon Logan: An 'Aircraft Generation' Success Story
Sharon Logan, President CEO, Logistics and Generation
Q: What is the most memorable moment in your career or your favorite part of working in the ground support industry?
A: I have many memorable moments, but my most memorable ones are the many phone calls I have gotten over the years from co-workers and peers on the effect I had on them and their careers. From believing in and encouraging them and for some, letting them know that AGE was not for them, to just knowing I make a difference, are the things that encourage me to stay in this field.
My favorite part is still the learning part. I don't think I'll ever be too high up in any position not to learn something. From the first old school technical sergeant that told me to fetch him a hammer and screwdriver -- he wouldn't let me do it like that, to convincing my peers that the age of computer technology is upon us and that we have to believe that through the eyes of the younger technicians signing on today, it can be done.
Q: Any advice to offer other people in the field?
A: My advice to the technicians, supervisor and managers in this field, is if your heart is not in this field and if you don't believe you make a difference in the equipment you maintain, then you need to try something else. Every time an aircraft takes off and completes its assigned task -- commercial or military, know that the equipment we maintain got it there. Pride in ownership is the key to success. Own up to your shortcomings and get about doing it better. We make up the team of aircraft generation successes worldwide.
Q: Anything else you would like to tell our readers?
A: L & G Technology Services is not about just me, I take this time to thank my Savior, the Executive Staff and the employees, for our current and future successes. There is "NO" Logistics and Generation Technology Services without us first being a family and second, being a team in ensuring quality equipment in ground support for aircraft generation worldwide.
