Lithium-Ion Batteries
Metabo now has lithium-ion batteries for its cordless power tools. The batteries feature 40 percent higher performance and 40 percent less weight than traditional rechargeable batteries. The batteries come with a number of cordless tools, including a full line of drill/drivers, a reciprocating saw, and a four-piece combination kit. Existing BSZ Series tools can be upgraded to use the lithium-ion batteries with the purchase of this battery and charger. They can be stored up to 18 months without losing any charge, compared to four to six months for traditional batteries. Mobile Storage Cabinets
Two models of cabinets designed to combine different secure storage options with mobility are available from the Hodge Division of The Durham Manufacturing Co. The units are of heavy-duty, all-welded 16-gauge steel construction, measure 46 inches wide by 21 inches deep and 34 inches high, and have a 1,200-pound weight bearing capacity. Smooth, easy movement is assured by 5-inch by 1 1/4-inch polyurethane bolt-on casters, two rigid and two swivel. Both models have top work surfaces with a 3-inch lip at the back and push handles. One has a cabinet with a fixed shelf separated by a vertical divider and is fitted with double doors mounted on fully welded piano hinges. The second is an all-drawer unit with eight lockable drawers arranged in two vertical rows of four each. Both are furnished with a locking handle and two keys. Storage Chest
The PIG storage chest is a multipurpose, all-weather storage chest that provides 15 cubic feet of lockable, movable storage space.
