Aerosafe—Poly-Brite’s lighted safety vests are technologically advanced personal safety products with a unique polymer/LED combination in the light kits to improve personal safety by providing self-illumination. PolyBrite’s lighted split vests are shock proof, spark proof, weather resistant, and comply with ANSI Class II standards.
Bird-X, Inc.— BroadBand PRO targets pest birds with an unrelenting combination of four different sound types: distress cries — to indicate danger to pigeons, starlings, and gulls; predator cries — like falcons and hawks to add realism; general harassments for an all-bird defense; and ultrasonic waves to guard day and night. This technology eliminates the need to use multiple machines while providing sound variety. BroadBand PRO sound waves move from speaker to speaker for a constant, menacing defense. This “surround sound” attack forces birds to leave for good, yet it’s harmless to the birds and the environment.
Blastrac — The Blastrac® 1-8DPS30 is an economical, self-propelled eight-inch shot blasting system used to prepare concrete surfaces prior to the application of paint, coating, or overlays. The 1-8DPS30 works for small or medium-sized jobs up to 8,000 square feet. The shot blaster works well around immobile equipment and obstructions on industrial floors and provides complementary shotblasting around tight areas on larger jobs. It strips, cleans, and profiles concrete surfaces. The 1-8DPS30 four horsepower drive motor for self-propelled forward and reverse operation improves productivity and promotes a more consistent surface profile, preparing up to 430 square feet an hour.
Clariant Corporation — produces and markets liquid and solid runway and ramp de-/anti-icing chemicals. Clariant has more than 30 years experience supplying innovative products to global customers in Europe, the Far East, and North America. SAFEWAY deicers can be used in combination with “classic” mechanical clearing methods to ensure safe take-offs and landings. Clariant runway and ramp deicers melt ice and snow effectively and are environmentally friendly.
CONTECH Bridge Solutions Inc. — CONTECH Bridge Solutions’ plate, precast, and truss structures provide answers to a wide range of airport application needs. CONTECH’s plate and precast structures support runway extensions, enclose drainage ditches, and cross streams. Precast concrete arch taxiway underpasses and bridges can be used to allow fully-loaded 747s to cross over busy airport highways, provide underground tanks for de-icing solution storage, and create baggage tug tunnels. Precast units are easily adjusted for curved alignments and can be set side-by-side for multiple span configurations. The arch-box shape provides an economical, durable structure with load carrying capacity. Truss skywalks can also provide pedestrian crossings from terminals to parking.
Engineered Arresting Systems Corporation (ESCO) — The ESCO Vehicle Arresting System (VAS) provides customized non-lethal arrestment and containment solutions for transport vehicles, with zero to minimal damage to both vehicle and occupants, greatly reducing or eliminating the potential of user liability. ESCO’s VAS consists of two energy absorbers (brakes) that are installed on either side of a road and are joined by a cross-roadway net barrier. Prior to deployment, the net and engaging system is concealed in either an overhead structure or underground trench. When needed, the systems are activated via remote control or powered switch, placing them in position for use within two to three seconds. As a vehicle engages the system, the result is a gradual, controlled, “soft catch” stop.
Neubert Aero Corp. — The i-Air® from Neubert Aero Corp. is a fully integrated airfield self-inspection and reporting data collection solution. The i-Air uses GIS-GPS technology for high resolution imagery and detailed facility real-time data merged into a common information infrastructure. The solution is used either as a fully stand-alone tracking system or as the airfield data collection to support a computerized maintenance management system.
Quixote Transportation Technologies (QTT) — The Surface Patrol from QTT is a mobile temperature sensor that measures the ambient (air) temperature and also features a non-contact infrared sensor for measuring pavement temperature. Airport operators use the Surface Patrol to detect possible freezing temperatures on the pavement for efficient and effective use of sand, salt, and de-icing chemicals.
