This third installment not only offers a blip of insight on the three remaining from our founding fourteen, but introduces a key addition (and swing vote) to our collection of the industry elite.

Dan Sellas
Vice President, Sales & Marketing, ASIG
Dan Sellas has been with ASIG since 1986 and recently took over the role of vice president, sales and marketing. Prior to the promotion, Dan served as vice president, marketing and business development. He has first-hand, extensive knowledge of ASIG’s operations and multiple business lines and has helped facilitate several key acquisitions during ASIG’s recent expansion efforts. He also served as vice president, operations with responsibility for ASIG’s fuel services line of business. In 1990, as ASIG’s general manager at London Heathrow, he led the efforts in establishing ASIG’s first operation in Europe. At the end of his tenure in Europe, ASIG had grown to one of the largest ground handling and refueling operations at Heathrow. Prior to 1990, Dan held various operations and finance positions with ASIG in Tampa, San Francisco and Miami. Dan has a Bachelor of Science in Multinational Business Operations.

Yvonne Coleman
Marketing Manager, ASIG
Yvonne joined ASIG in 1998, during a time of significant growth and expansion. She now serves as the marketing manager responsible for internal and external corporate communications worldwide. Her duties at ASIG include website management, corporate advertising, web-based initiatives, production of corporate collateral and press announcements. Her industry knowledge is also called upon to assist with sales related objectives. Yvonne obtained a degree in Business Administration from Bernard M. Baruch College and began working for the American National Standards Institute in 1995, where she worked in the marketing department for several years.

Jody Lonergan
Manager-Corporate GSE, Continental Airlines
Throughout her 17 year career with Continental, Jody has held positions within many facets of the operating division including: ramp operations, finance, regulatory compliance, contract services, training/curriculum development and now GSE. Since joining the GSE group in late 2000, the world of ground support equipment has changed vastly from standard operating units to new technology in electrics, hybrids, alternative fuels and cross utilization of units into new operating environments. She is very excited about the opportunity to participate in this editorial advisory board and looks forward to taking GSE’s portion of the aviation industry to a new level.


Fred DiBenedetto
Vice President— Business Development, Fortbrand Services, Inc.
A founding and current member of the NATA Airline Services Council as well as a member of ACI-NA environmental and technical committees, Fred joined Fortbrand Services in January 2006. Before he was added to Fortbrand’s roster, he spent thirty-six years with Servisair/GlobeGround where, in his final year with the company, he operated as president and COO responsible for the day-to-day delivery of services performed by 21,000 employees to over 700 customers at 145 airports, generating annual revenues of approximately one billion dollars. Fred’s rap sheet also includes hanger and maintenance facility construction, contract and labor negotiation and guideline development and implementation for tracking manpower utilization, aircraft damage and on-time performance.
