West star aviation expands at dallas love
West Star Aviation, Inc. expands its facility at Dallas Love Field by adding a new co-location adjacent to runway 31-L, adding 33,000 square feet of shop/office space. The new facility can accommodate the largest business jets on the market including the Dassault Falcon 900, Global Express, Gulfstream 550, Embraer Legacy, and the new Cessna 850 Columbus. West Star Aviation also has locations in East Alton, IL and Grand Junction, CO.

Jet aviation/midcoast headed to ogden
Jet Aviation signs a letter of intent with Kemp Development, Inc. of Ogden, UT to open a new Midcoast Aviation maintenance/repair/overhaul facility at Ogden-Hinckley (UT) Airport this fall. Company plans to add up to 200 new employees within two years and will have some 70,000 square feet of maintenance hangars and shops. Under this agreement, Jet Aviation assumes the existing FBO operations of Kemp Jet Services.

Mercury gets a foothold in the middle east
At the Kuwait Int’l Airport (KWI) in the Middle East, final touches are being put on the new Royal Terminal being operated by U.S.-based Mercury Air Group, Inc. The 100,000-sq. ft. facility, owned by Royal Aviation Kuwait, cost $42 million and is the largest FBO in the Middle East; it incorporates boutiques and shops, a five-star restaurant, and two large aircraft shade ports. Mercury Air Group signed a management services agreement in 2007 to operate the new facility through Royal Aviation Kuwait, a wholly owned subsidiary of United Projects Co., which is a member of Kuwait Investment Projects Co. The grand opening is scheduled for June.
