Aviation industry bailout: Let's make a deal!

As we have quickly learned in the recent months, our craft, passion, profession, and livelihood has been presented with some new challenges. The media that surrounds us with negative views on business aviation is not accurate, to say the least, and we all know how hard it is to stay positive in times like these.

Let’s make a deal — a deal with our peers, business partners, coworkers, and industry contacts to stay committed through the tough times. The aviation industry has always been a world leader, bringing incredible advances in technology and developments to help our everyday lives. Let’s do our best to keep it that way.

We can agree that general aviation has some challenges ahead and without the help of policymakers and our leaders, the future is uncertain. Common sense would tell any smart business leader that a corporate jet is not an unnecessary expense; rather, it is simply a tool to increase business productivity and grow our country’s big business world. The same common sense should be used by our nation’s leaders to understand business aviation is a good thing and a great contributor to the U.S. economy. After all, we are trying to create more jobs, right?
