Readers in Action

AMT has always been focused on the reader. Our editorial is targeted on the news, technology, and articles that benefit you, the aircraft mechanic. And it has been that way since the beginning. If you don’t have a copy of the first issue, check out Page 38 which includes the first Publisher’s Note.

Now it’s your turn. Once again we are having a contest choosing the best photo from our readers for our January/February cover. The winner will also receive $250.

For the Readers in Action contest we want high-resolution photos (300 dpi) of readers on the job, in the hangar, working on an aircraft, or in the shop (extra points if AMT magazine is in the shot).

Let us hear from you. You can send high-res photos to [email protected] with Readers in Action Contest in the subject line. Or you can mail them to: Aircraft Maintenance Technology, Readers in Action Contest, 1233 Janesville Ave., Fort Atkinson, WI 53538. Deadline is Dec. 1.

Be sure to include contact information so we can contact you if you win.

AMTSociety’s road show tour of training events is coming to a city near you. Don’t miss the stops in Sacramento, CA, on Nov. 4 and in Pittsburg, PA, on Nov. 11! The last stop for 2009 will be in Seattle, WA, on Dec. 9.

Don’t forget each seminar meets the requirements contained in FAR 65.93(A)(4) for Inspection Authorization (IA) renewal training and is acceptable toward eight hours of training for IA renewal and the FAA William O’Brien AMT Awards Program.

Until next time we’ll see you online: forums.AMTonline.com.

Thanks for reading!
