A New Name, a Stronger Game

The annual show in Las Vegas has a new name: Cygnus Aviation Expo.

For GSE attendees, it will deliver the same quality and quantity of exhibitors and equipment that the show (formerly Aviation Industry Expo) has become known for. It will also feature more high-quality seminars on topics and issues critical to operations, including alternative technology for GSE and ramp safety. The Ground Support Leaders of the Year awards will again take place — this time as a luncheon. Please visit www.cygnusaviationexpo.com for more information on exhibitors and events. It is gearing up to be the best show yet.

Cygnus Aviation Expo will be held February 23-25, 2011, in Las Vegas. It is fast approaching, and I’m looking forward to seeing everyone there.

On the Road

I’ve been out on the road again to find out what’s going on in the GSE world. This time, I took a trip to the UPS Worldport facility. It was wonderful to see the facility in action. Thank you to Bill Jacob and the team at Worldport for a fantastic tour. Our cover story features the Worldport facility and its investment in GSE on page 10.

I also had the opportunity to tour two Jasper Engines and Transmissions facilities in Indiana. There I got a first-hand look at the company’s remanufacturing processes. Thank you to Bob Boeglin and the crew for showing me around the facilities. To read more about their process of remanufacturing an engine, please turn to page 24.

As always, thanks for reading,
