Oct. 1, 2020

Rochester International Airport (RST) celebrates the first ever nonstop flight to Denver International Airport (DEN) today. The new United Express flights, operated by SkyWest Airlines, provide travelers access to United’s global network via the airline’s Denver hub where there are more than 400 daily flights to destinations around the world.

The first departure to Denver will be sent off with a water cannon salute from the airport Fire Department. Passengers on the first flight will take part in a ribbon cutting prior to boarding.

“The new Denver flight offers nonstop access to the great outdoors of Colorado or to connect beyond for your travel needs,” said John Reed, RST’s executive director. “With measures in place to offer safe travel, we look forward to welcoming you back at RST.”

“Whether Rochester travelers are heading to Denver or beyond, these new flights are a great option,” said Greg Atkin, SkyWest’s managing director of market development. “Our passengers can also fly with confidence thanks to the layered approach to safety, with includes enhanced cleaning, mandatory face coverings and customer self-assessments with check-in.”
