Swanson Rink Releases Its Latest Aviation Industry White Paper

July 20, 2020

Swanson Rink announced the release of their latest white paper outlining opportunities to improve passenger processing.

Authored by Stephen Bennett, P.E., vice president of aviation services for Swanson Rink, the paper positions that the aviation industry’s response to COVID-19 offers an opportunity to improve overall efficiency while mitigating risk. Bennett says a systems engineering approach that relies on simulation, modeling and benchmarking can inform solutions to safely process the greatest number of passengers from curbside to boarding. The paper also reviews the latest innovations in biometric technologies and how these can be integrated to reduce congested areas within airports, significantly improving the passenger experience and improving efficiency and safety.

“We offer the ideas insights of this paper to our clients and partners to consider as they look at ways to respond to the challenges the pandemic has placed on the air travel industry,” said Bennett. “There is a pressing need to do better, and we can do better with tools that are available to us today,” he added.
