Norfolk International Airport (ORF) reported an 8.71 percent increase in passenger activity for the month of June 2019 with 385,174 passengers. This figure compares to a June 2018 passenger count of 354,314. January to June 2019 total passenger count has increased 11.97 percent representing 1,885,171 passengers versus 1,683,571 passengers during the same period in 2018.
In other activity, 5,039,266 pounds of cargo were shipped in and out of the airport during June 2019. This represents a 4.90 percent decrease versus June 2018, which saw 5,298,880 pounds of cargo shipped. January to June 2019 cargo pounds shipped have increased 1.65 percent representing 32,313,702 cargo pounds versus 31,788,791 cargo pounds during the same period in 2018.
The above-mentioned figures are a reflection of the service by scheduled airlines Allegiant, American, Delta, Frontier, Southwest, United and their regional airline partners and charter airlines Miami Air, Sun Country, Swift Air and XTRAirways. Cargo carriers include Federal Express, Mountain Air Cargo and UPS.
