March 9, 2018

Jacobsen|Daniels and Haley & Aldrich announced that through a joint venture they have been awarded a multi-million dollar, multi-year contract to work with the city of Atlanta’s Department of Aviation (DOA). The Haley & Aldrich Jacobsen|Daniels Joint Venture (HA-JD JV) will develop and implement a comprehensive world-class sustainability, facilities, and asset management strategy for Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), and will focus on helping the city develop a long-term roadmap for sustainable growth at the world’s busiest airport.

The HA-JD JV team – which includes 13 other specialized engineering, environmental, and airport planning firms – will take a holistic and strategic approach, identifying the needs of the facilities, asset management and sustainability business units to collaboratively address the airport’s long-term development goals. Additionally, Haley & Aldrich will leverage its expertise in Lean facilitation to engage a cross-functional group of HA-JD JV and DOA team members to identify common goals, challenges and innovative solutions. Michael Cheyne, the DOA’s director of asset management and sustainability, will oversee the program.

“We look forward to collaborating with an airport that is already at the forefront of sustainability practices, and we anticipate continuous innovation and improvement in its business and operational practices,” said Alec Smith, general manager, HA-JD JV. “By more closely integrating facilities, asset management and sustainability operations in this process, DOA will realize significant maintenance, planning, development, and procurement efficiencies and cost savings.”
