Pie Five Pizza Co. will land its newest location at Baltimore-Washington International (BWI) on May 5. Open daily from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m., Pie Five is the perfect destination for travelers looking for a quick and delicious bite before or between flights. The restaurant is located past security in Southwest Airlines Concourse B.
This is the second Pie Five location to open at BWI. Franchisee Creative Food Group has been operating restaurants in airports since 2004 and at BWI since 2012. They understand the importance of speed and quality in an airport environment.
"Pie Five has already proven to be a great fit for BWI Airport," said Creative Food Group President Altaf Isani. "We offer a wide variety of fresh toppings, savory sauces and made-from-scratch crusts to custom-make individual pizzas on the go. It’s absolutely delicious and it’s darn hard to beat!”
Pie Five's state-of-the-art Turbo Chef oven doesn't require a hood, allowing it to be used in a variety of non-traditional locations such as airports. The oven's heat, airflow and belt speed can also be adjusted to produce the perfect pizza, cheesy Breadstix or a freshly baked turtle brownie.
"Our new Pie Five is located in the highest traffic concourse in BWI, which will really give us the opportunity to highlight our speed-of-service while handcrafting custom artisan pizzas,” said Pie Five CEO Scott Crane. “This is the second of many airport locations to come for Pie Five and we’re excited to bring the future of pizza to another BWI location.”
This is the 8th Pie Five Pizza location in the Baltimore area.
