Jacky Pacquet passed away on Saturday in his home in Segonzac after a long illness. Jacky was elected to the TFWA management committee in 1989. He was elected president in 1993 - a crucial time in the development of TFWA. In this year, planning began for the first TFWA Exhibition & Conference in Asia, which took place with much success in Singapore in 1995. Jacky held the role of president until he retired in 1998, when he was named honorary president.
Jacky’s dedication to the duty free and travel retail sector was boundless. He was a true gentleman and always had a kind word for everyone he met. He will be greatly missed, and our thoughts are with his family at this sad time.
