JE Dunn Construction Welcomes Peter Johnson as Aviation Operations Director

JE Dunn Construction announced that industry veteran Peter Johnson has joined the company as aviation operations director.

With a career spanning more than four decades, Johnson combines extensive aviation construction experience with over 20 years of collaborating with clients and managing aviation project teams and projects throughout the country. Most recently he was a general superintendent with another major Construction Manager.

“Peter is a critical hire for us at JE Dunn, particularly for our aviation vertical,” said Vice President, Aviation Group Manager Iana Tassada. “He’s a great leader and a builder of teams who understands how to connect with people and motivate them.”

Johnson’s responsibilities include overseeing all aviation projects to ensure operational excellence through strong cost, scheduling and quality management; providing internal training to project teams on aviation construction; and assisting clients with planning and solutions on phasing and complex aviation projects.

Tassada complimented Johnson as “humble, incredibly smart, and an all-in team player.” She cited his “subject matter expertise, which will help bring solutions to our clients and help them figure out how to execute complex aviation projects.”

Johnson’s aviation portfolio includes an array of projects for clients including Tampa International Airport in Florida; Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport in South Carolina;  Boston Logan International Airport in Massachusetts; T. F. Green Airport near Providence, Rhode Island; and New York’s LaGuardia Airport.

He is a member of American Association of Airport Executives and the North Carolina Airports Association. He serves on the Permanent Building Committee of Lexington, Massachusetts, which has general supervision of the design and construction of public structures, recreational facilities and buildings.
