The Executive Director for the Bill and Hillary Clinton Airport in Little Rock, Arkansas, Bryan Malinowski was injured on March 19 during a firefight with Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) agents who arrived to serve a search warrant at his home.

Malinowski sustained gunshot wounds and was treated at the scene before being transported to a local hospital.

The Arkansas State Police's Criminal Investigation Division is investigating the incident, and the use of deadly force will be reviewed by the prosecuting attorney to determine its legality.

Malinowski has been the executive director of the airport since 2019 and has over 30 years of experience in the field.

In a statement from Airport Commission Chairman Bill Walker, the Deputy Executive Director Tom Clarke was announced as acting executive director while the investigation continues, "As the chairman of the Little Rock Municipal Airport Commission, I have named Tom Clarke, the airport's deputy executive director, as acting executive director."

The airport, renamed in 2012 for former President Bill Clinton and then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, will remain open despite the incident.

The situation is still developing, and further details may emerge as the investigation progresses.
