(Georgetown, Delaware – October 27, 2016) – Representatives of ALOFT AeroArchitects (NBAA Booth #2031) announced today that the company has signed a contract to complete a scheduled 12-month inspection along with the installation of its new ALOFT STC for ADS-B Out on a Next-Generation 737 Boeing Business Jet (BBJ).

“As a Boeing Authorized BBJ Service Center, our engineers, inspectors and technicians are highly experienced in performing all levels of scheduled maintenance inspections with the highest level of quality and most efficient downtime,” ALOFT’s Senior Vice President – Sales and Marketing, John Eichten, stated. “What will make this inspection unique is that while the aircraft is in our facility, we will also install and complete the supplemental type certification (STC) process for our own ADS-B Out compliance solution.”

“The recent expansion of our FAA Organization Designation Authorization (ODA) capabilities increases our control of the STC process timeline to enable the complete and complex design, installation and STC certification process for ADS-B compliance to occur within the very tight schedule of a routine 12-month scheduled maintenance inspection,” he said. “Most importantly, the new ALOFT STC will provide all BBJ operators with a very attractive and cost-effective way to comply with the ADS-B mandate.”

Along with the STC for the ADS-B Out installation on the BBJ, Eichten also said that additional STCs are in the process of being developed through ALOFT AeroArchitects’ ODA and will be offered in the industry as they become available.

ALOFT also encourages those who are designing new products and pushing innovation forward in the industry to consider partnering with the company for certification by FAA STC using the ALOFT in-house ODA and certification services.

ALOFT’s expanding capabilities for STCs includes a total integrated effort from the design, engineering, and certification of the STC to the development of the appropriate modification kit. Installation of the modifications can be supported for aircraft approved for work under ALOFT AeroArchitects’ FAA Part 145 repair station certification.
