The new pact will result in a broader range of repair services and access to a vast inventory of certified parts.

VAS Aero Services a subsidiary company of Prague Airport and provider of aircraft repair and maintenance services, have announced a long-term component repair services agreement.

CSAT serves a range of aviation customers from its state-of-the-art MRO facilities at Václav Havel Airport Prague in the Czech Republic. The company supports key airlines customers with maintenance and repair services for B737, A320 Family and ATR aircraft. The first contract between the two aviation aftermarket services leaders will allow CSAT to expand capabilities within its component services divisions with the addition of certified repaired parts from VAS.

“We are delighted to join with Czech Airlines Technics in providing superior, certified parts and component repairs to their airline customers,” said Tommy Hughes, VAS chief executive officer. “As a global aviation aftermarket repair services and parts supplier, VAS offers an unparalleled depth of air-ready inventory and broad geographic reach. Establishing long-term relationships with international repair services leaders such as CSAT allows us to extend that reach and put those mission-critical parts to work faster, reducing AOG down time and exceeding customer expectations.”

“The contract with VAS marks the beginning of the new era at Czech Airlines Technics. We are a very well established company in base and line maintenance and landing gear overhaul. However, the co-operation with VAS represents a great opportunity for our Component & Spares Division, which was introduced last year. As a main part of the deal, our team will provide slides and batteries support in Prague to VAS. CSAT has thus become an important player on the global aircraft components market,” said Pavel Hales, chairman of the Czech Airlines Technics board of directors.
