Boeing Shanghai Signs Maintenance Agreement with Nordwind Airlines

SHANGHAI, Feb. 27, 2013 – Boeing Shanghai Aviation Services Co., Ltd., (Boeing Shanghai) today announced an agreement with Nordwind Airlines for maintenance services. The first 767-300ER C-check contracted under the agreement was completed February 9. The next 767 from Nordwind is expected to arrive for C-check at Boeing Shanghai on March 18.

“The Boeing Shanghai team has a great reputation for 767 heavy maintenance and we are happy to have such an experienced team supporting our aircraft,” said Oguz Senol Yuce, deputy general director, Technical & Fleet Management, Nordwind Airlines. “We anticipate that this is only our first step in working Boeing Shanghai and we are seriously exploring all opportunities to expand the volume of business.”

Founded in May 2008, Nordwind Airlines is a charter airline with headquarters in Moscow. It serves a multitude of airports in Russia with holiday destinations around the Mediterranean Sea and the Indian Ocean. Currently Nordwind Airlines operates seven Boeing 767-300ERs.
