Tampa, Fla. (July 7, 2016) – Pemco World Air Services (PEMCO) has secured an agreement with Guangdong Long Hao Aviation Group Co. Ltd (“Longhao Aviation Group”) for a B737-300 passenger-to-freighter conversion. The agreement marks the first PEMCO-converted aircraft for the Longhao Aviation Group, with options for additional conversions to assist the company’s aviation business.
The Guangzhou-based Longhao Aviation Group is a subsidiary of the Longhao Group, which is primarily focused on the investment and construction of highways, infrastructure and public works; diversified business in technical consulting; aviation business; smarty city, new energy and environmental engineering; and media and culture. To support their expansion, the Longhao Aviation Group chose PEMCO for their quality service, engineering strength, and post-delivery customer support.
The conversion will be performed by STAECO in Jinan Shandong, China, one of PEMCO’s three conversion partners throughout the world. The aircraft will be inducted in July and is scheduled for redelivery in October. Since 2006, PEMCO has redelivered over 50 Boeing 737-300 and -400 freighter modification projects to Chinese operators.

The B737-300 PEMCO-converted aircraft features nine pallet positions, up to 43,100 pounds of payload, 4,600 cubic feet of total volume, and a max range exceeding 2,000 miles. Today PEMCO, together with its three regional conversion installation partners, provides seamless global product support to operators of their Boeing 737 converted freighters.
