Request For Proposal Aircraft Maintenance Provider

The Moore County Airport Authority (MCAA) is seeking a qualified firm to provide Aircraft Maintenance and Repair Services for the Moore County Airport, with Avionics Maintenance and Repair capabilities desirable.

Description
The Moore County Airport is seeking to obtain expert professional Aircraft Maintenance and Repair for Moore County Airport Customers. The initial term of the agreement will be for five (5) years and renewable based on performance. The aircraft maintenance provider will operate independently of the Airport.

The Airport Maintenance Facility is a 110 foot x 100 foot (11,000 square feet) hangar (Hangar 1) available for rent at $3,000 per month. This rental fee is negotiable and the MCAA would be willing to entertain options for deferred rent during the initial term of the agreement.

Hangar 1 is adjacent to the Main Terminal Building and provides convenient access to the customer service areas of the FBO. The Airport has space available for construction of a new hangar, if preferred by a proposed Aircraft Maintenance Provider.

The Aircraft Maintenance Provider’s personnel must be certified by the Federal Aviation Administration as Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanics with Inspection Authorization (IA) qualification in accordance with 14 CFR parts 43, 65 and 145 as applicable.

Location
The Moore County Airport is a General Aviation airport operated by the Moore County Airport Authority and is located in the Southern Pines/Pinehurst area of North Carolina. Approximately one hundred General Aviation Aircraft are based at the Moore County Airport and the Fixed Based Operation (FBO), owned by Moore County, enjoys a vibrant corporate Aviation business.

The Moore County Airport FBO provides fuel services, aircraft hangars and tie-downs, and flight training for individuals seeking Private Pilot through Certificated Flight Instructor ratings.

The Airport is located approximately six miles from the Pinehurst Resort and three miles from downtown Southern Pines. There are forty-three (43) championship golf courses, all within fifteen (15) miles of the Airport and the Airport experiences significant leisure and business travel.
