Burbank, California USA. On June 13th Think Global Flight (TGF) will begin its around the world flight of adventure, promoting education and inspiring more than 20,000 students in 21 countries across the globe.
Among those expressing their support are TGF Ambassadors Astronaut Dr. Buzz Aldrin and Voyager pilot Dick Rutan. Buzz Aldrin joins the Crew on most of their journey. Captain Judy Rice will be sharing the donated Citation Mustang and classroom presentations with students and media during their scheduled stops along the route.

Think Global Flight provides opportunities serving as a global, inaugural experience for the exploration of career options and pathways in the aviation and aerospace industries growing Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (S.T.E.M.) awareness. TGF is recognized by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and U.S. Department of Education (DOE) for real-world applications to S.T.E.M.
Augmenting Think Global Flight’s educational message is the greater message conveyed by Captain Rice’s gender in a predominantly male career field. Rice is a model career-mentor enriching the lives of diverse youth through educational and career-mentoring initiatives.

Dr. Aldrin shares his support, saying “Back when I was privileged to be a part of the Apollo program the USA was number 1 in the science and technology fields. No one had ever heard of S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) because we were at the top. Today, America is falling behind other countries. S.T.E.M. is the precise focus of Think Global Flight’s reaching more than 20,000 students and why I strongly support Captain Judy and the flight. I am looking forward to joining the Crew for many of their global adventures.”

Think Global Flight is an around the world flight promoting Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (S.T.E.M.) through aviation and aerospace education, inspiring students to succeed and excel in these critical areas. The flight will encourage and foster the international exchange of information among industry, professional associations, government agencies, and the educational community, thus growing a greater awareness of the capabilities for S.T.E.M. education, especially as related to the aviation and aerospace disciplines.
