CABAA Announces Spring Date for “Safety Day 2013”

Chicago, IL – March 1, 2013 – The Chicago Area Business Aviation Association (CABAA) has announced Thursday, April 25th, 2013 as the date for its annual “Safety Day 2013”.  Promoting aviation safety is a core value of CABAA. Each year, CABAA invites the industry’s most dynamic and insightful speakers to cover topics designed to continuously improve Business Aviation’s stellar safety record.  Attendees include Pilots of all levels, Department Mangers, Aircraft Mechanics, Schedulers & Dispatchers, as well as all other industry partners. Due to the importance of the subject, this program is open to the public. Non-CABAA members are welcome!

This year’s topics range from EFB Safety Considerations, Aviation Security and Criminalization of Air Safety to name a few.  Speakers include Mr. Bob Baker, Associate Professor, Embry Riddle University; Mr. Peter Skaves, FAA; Mr. David Adams and Ms. Camille Khodadad, Partners, Prangle and Schoonveld; Ms. Leigh White, Alertness Solutions; and Mr. Christopher Broyhill, Exelon Corporation.  Attendees will be eligible for both NBAA CAM (Corporate Aviation Manager) Credits as well as FAA Master Wings Points.  For a full listing of the day’s events and/or to register please visit the CABAA website at www.cabaa.com.

Other annual events include:  A Mentoring Session at Lewis University in which members of CABAA speak with aviation students regarding their career path.  CABAA hosts its annual Golf Outing in which all proceeds benefit the scholarship initiative.  Every year, CABAA awards 8 deserving students, who are enrolled in an accredited aviation program, scholarships, in the amount of $2,500.00 each.  CABAA has also partnered with FlightSafety to award an SIC rating in a Citation II valued at $20,000.00.
