Overland Aviation (KXWA) Cuts Ribbon on FBO Terminal & Customs Facility

Oct. 18, 2021

Operations from all corners of the world can now fly in and fuel up at Overland Aviation as the FBO opens a new U.S. Customs facility and luxury terminal.

Overland Aviation cut the ribbon on the new facility on September 11, 2021, during the Williston Basin International Airport’s first air show, celebrating with aviation enthusiasts throughout the Williston community. Along with the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the free event included a fly-in pancake breakfast, exhibits, aircraft performances and giveaways.

“Today’s milestone celebrates the culmination of years of planning and development on our mission to deliver industry-leading tech stops to a global market. We are excited to welcome travelers from all over the world to Williston Basin International Airport, and we sincerely thank those individuals that traveled near and far to celebrate this milestone for our community and our industry,” said Tanner Overland, president and founder of Overland Aviation.

The 51,000-square-foot executive terminal and hangar complex marries industrial architecture with natural wood elements for a high-end aviation experience. It is complete with an executive passenger terminal and pilot lounge, a private terminal for oil-laborer crew-change flights, management and rental office space, a heated hangar to accommodate aircraft up to a Gulfstream G650, and a U.S. Customs general aviation facility to welcome international operations.

Conveniently located directly under the Great Circle Route between Europe and the western portion of the United States, Overland Aviation is in a prime position for international stopovers. With an experienced team and U.S. Customs co-located within the FBO’s facility, Overland Aviation stands ready to deliver industry-leading tech-stop services on a quick turn for heightened efficiency.

Guests to the FBO benefit from uncongested airspace and an environment that allows for turnarounds in 30 minutes or less. While dedicated to saving operators time, Overland Aviation is also dedicated to saving operators money. The FBO is a true fee-free tech stop: free of landing fees, handling fees, security fees and infrastructure fees. In addition, ramp and international garbage fees are always waived with a fuel purchase — for which the FBO offers jet A volume discounts. And with a tech-stop best price guarantee, operators can be assured they’re receiving the best service at the best price.

Those who venture to KXWA will be met by Overland Aviation’s hospitable team members, 24/7/365, after landing on the 7,501’ x 150’ grooved, concrete runway complete with ILS/GPS/VOR approaches. As a full-service FBO, Overland Aviation offers Type I and Type IV de-icing; a 30,000 square foot heated hangar; aircraft maintenance; catering services; GPU; air-start cart; lav service; potable water service; and oxygen/nitrogen service.

As an Avfuel-branded FBO, Overland Aviation offers customers lucrative rewards with AVTRIP and competitive prices with Avfuel Contract Fuel. Customers further benefit from transaction ease when using the Avfuel Pro Card at the FBO with the ability to put everything — fuel and non-fuel items with or without a fuel purchase — on one transaction, avoiding processing fees.
