City of Manchester Announces New Assistant Airport Director of Information Technology & Cybersecurity

The City of Manchester has named Frederick Zapp as assistant airport director of information technology and cybersecurity (CIO/CISO) for the Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (MHT) to provide administrative oversight and strategic direction for all operations and activities of the airport’s Information Technology Department. He began his new position on May 17.

Zapp is a forward-thinking leader and collaborator and brings a strong enterprise technology background to MHT. Most recently, he worked for the MITRE Corporation as Director of Information Technology where he led a $30M enterprise shared service IT division. Previously he was the Chief Engineer, Enterprise Applications for MITRE. He has also worked for MERCK Corporation where he managed a team responsible for the global implementation and operation of software applications.

Zapp earned his bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Susquehanna University
