Albert Dwoskin Joins MWAA Board of Directors

Albert Dwoskin has joined the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Board of Directors as an appointee of the Governor of Virginia. He was sworn in prior to the Oct. 17 Board of Directors meeting.  In addition to Dwoskin’s appointment, two current Directors representing the Commonwealth of Virginia have been reappointed for second terms: Bill Sudow and Walter Tejada. One current Director representing the State of Maryland has also been reappointed for a second term: Earl Adams, Jr.

Dwoskin is president and chief executive officer of A.J. Dwoskin & Associates, a real estate development and management company serving Northern Virginia and the broader National Capital region.

Dwoskin has a well-documented commitment to the business community and to charitable pursuits that benefit the region, serving as a board member for the Institute for New Economic Thinking, Children’s Medical Safety Research Institute and Endowment Fund, The Tryall Club, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington and the Commonwealth of Virginia Governor’s Advisory Council on Revenue Estimates.

In past years, he has also served as chairman and director of Catalist, a national voter database and data analytical organization and as director for Virginia’s Center for Innovative Technology. His other charitable activities include serving on the boards of the George Mason University Foundation, the Metropolitan Washington YMCA, the Governor’s Commission on Transportation in the 21st Century and the Woodlawn Foundation.  He resides in McLean, Virginia.

Dwoskin is appointed to a six-year term, and succeeds former Director Caren Merrick.
