The Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority Board of Trustees named Lisa Gianoli Chair of the nine-member board that oversees both Reno-Tahoe International and Reno-Stead Airports. The passing of the gavel took place at the Board’s monthly meeting in July.
Appointed a trustee by Washoe County in 2015, Gianoli’s diverse finance and government experience has helped strengthen the airport’s strategic growth and revitalization efforts while maintaining high quality services and facilities for the traveling public.
“The airport is a vital part of our community and region’s economic health,” said Gianoli. “I look forward to working with my fellow Board members and the staff at Reno-Tahoe International Airport to maintain and grow air service in the community. It will also be exciting to begin the early work on projects identified in our recently approved master plan.”
The board of trustees recently approved a 20-year master plan and new five-year strategic plan.
A longtime resident and graduate of the University of Nevada, Gianoli worked for more than a decade as a financial analyst and budget manager for Washoe County. During that time, she also represented the county at the legislative level on regional economic issues. Gianoli continues to serve the community as owner of LG Strategies Ltd., a government relations consulting firm.
“My background in many aspects of finance helps me contribute to the Airport Board,” added Chairman Gianoli. “I want the Reno-Tahoe International Airport to continue to maintain its strong financial position and appreciate the opportunity to work with airport management and staff in that regard.”
Other Board Officers for fiscal year 2018-19 include Vice-Chair Jessica Sferrazza, Secretary Richard Jay, Treasurer Jenifer Rose and members Nat Carasali, Carol Chaplin, Daniel Farahi, Art Sperber and past-Chair Shaun Carey.
