When Dylan Harlan was in first grade, his teacher was a pilot who quickly became a mentor to him as a youth. He helped Harlan, who took the help to heart.

When Harlan learned his mentor did car detailing to put himself through college, he decided to do the same. Harlan used the experience to pay his way through college and even continues to detail to this day on the side for his small business.

Harlan even interned for Wings Over the Rockies, which helped bring aviation into the classroom for teachers.

“I love airplanes. I’d definitely have a hard time not being around airplanes,” he said. “It’s fun getting to see all of the different types and all the different kinds. Centennial is one of the biggest general aviation airports in the whole country, so you see all types.”

Harlan graduated Denver Metropolitan State University with a degree as a professional pilot as well as a degree in aviation management. He started as an intern with XJet at Centennial Airport and turned into a sales associate role. He was recently promoted to a member relations manager. Harlan is devoted to the members of the facility and strives every day to increase business.

Harlan successfully coordinated multiple fundraising events including one with Ferrari, which raised money for the American Heart Association and one for Challenge Air which changes the perception of children with special needs through the gift flight.

His current project is Flight to Luxury, which is an event in XJet’s hangar to benefit the Boys and Girls Club. He has even found the time to be a part of many community events like the Donor Dash that supports organ transportation and donation through flight.

In his spare time, he helps design and attend XJet’s trade show booth at events across the nation and has gone to seminars to find out how we get the most out of ourselves and life and to translate his learning’s to help the company.
